Day 98
A trip to Kelvin Grove ended in failure again, with the Molecular Biology quiz being postponed and my internet access messed up. So i returned home alone to slog out some Rainbow Lorikeet observation... sloooowly making progress!
Rosemaree, Brad and Dacry were all really excited to go out to dinner with Zac tonight but another downpour put an end to their picnic by the river - they returned early to find me all snuggled up in Rosemaree's seat, with a chick flick on the big TV lol After sitting around a few minutes, no really sure of what to do, we had a great night watching (and criticising) X-factor. To see the big X zoom down on Australia was SO disorientating! I'm not really a fan of English X-factor but i have to say they sing a lot better back home... though their version of simon cowell is waaay more harsh!
Day 99
It felt good to be back at uni today after the week's break :) Mind you, i only had one 2 hour lecture so it was fairly easy for me :p We started the parasitology component of Microbiology today - although we've already covered the introductory bits, the lecturer was really good and the whole class (about 200 students) were oohing and eughing at all the gross pictures! Also had an extra sound effect from Rachel as she squeaked at her own drawing of my now departed granny trolley...:P
I went into the city early before my lecture... firstly, to return my granny trolley... and to have lunch at the botanical gardens - i picked a nice little rock by the stream and ended up sharing my picnic spot with 4 huge lizards! Thankfully, none of them came tooo close :P Dinner was really sweet again, with individually sculpted and cooked salmon quiches and Rosemaree asking us to text her every other day when traveling, just to let her know we're alright awwww :) Also Brisbane's weather is finally back on track - sunnies and shorts today :D though there was a really strange pink and purple sky this evening over Mt Coot-tha with some great 'cloud diversity' as Rachel termed it!
Day 100
After my hyper antics last night (which equates crashing Rachel's room), I felt like death at 6.00 this morning - my last early start for my Vetebrate lecture - rounding off with primates. Out of a class of 25, 3 of us turned up for the 9 o'clock start.... tbh i don't think the others missed much, with Ian failing at navigating youtube so resorting to impersonating a chimp attack :/ Forensics is an online lecture this week, so returned early once again melting in the heat. I can;t physically wear fewer clothes... not without causing a commotion! After laying collapsed on the bed a bit, the fan began working its magic and I achieved quite a lot of work. Rachel and I also unloaded the dishwasher, as Brad (its keeper lol) was out... his thank you was SO sweet... not very expressived with his words but his smile and thank you bounty flying towards me was enough :D
