Day 77 - QUT's Kelvin Grove Campus, Brisbane
Not the most interesting blog to start with... being at uni on the weekend will already give you a hint of the excitement :P
Yesterday evening, i realised that the assessment quiz for molecular biology was due in today... not next sunday! So I had to say goodbye to this morning's lie-in and brave the bus into kelvin grove. You get one attempt at this online quiz and i did not want to risk Darcy randomly switching off the internet back home. But it's not all bad; Rachel (mot here to support me with my test but instead to get her fix of neighbours) and I have managed to nab a pod. Comfy sofa, huge computer screen and air conditioning (which was sooo needed after hauling ourselves up the humongous hill that is Musk Avenue) in 28oC! I also have my own mini packed lunch - tuna sandwiches, juicy mandarin from the kelvin grove markets and a cool can of solo ( a weird lemonade) :D
This evening should be good though - new zealand planning (ie. trying to find the cheapest accomo available without resorting to a park bench wrapped in a 1 dollar poncho), watching 'all about steve' and the Gould family will provide us with more jokes and laughter as well as delicious food. Rachel has a daily game of guessing what will be for tea... you may think it's sad but it keeps us going through a 3 hour lecture! Today's guessng installment was kind of ruined though when i tugged the fridge door open to be assualted by 3 tubs of pea and ham soup. So I'm using my break from studying the finer details of hagfishes to start this blog.
If i've bored you, sorry - not every day can be filled with excitement! x
