Day 82 West End, Brisbane

No vertebrate pratical this week as the lecturer is down in Victoria, creating ID keys for bats. Had a MEGA lie-in, despite being woken up by possums fighting on the roof at 4.15 in the morning! Rachel and I met up with a Canadian exchange student called Jen, who moved out from homestay to a student sharehouse in the west end. the house is AMAZING and i LOVE the West End. Little cafes, open-mic bars, posh restaurants and these little boutiques - the clothes are so much cheaper than in the city :) Seriously considering moving into Jen's house next semester in February... so close to the city, being able to walk into uni everyday via southbank lagoon and the brisbane wheel... plus a lot cheaper so hopefully could afford Uluru for mid-semester break!!! Lots to think about!

Had a picnic on Southbank - despite the cloud, still quite warm today and sat dangling our toes into the smaller lagoon pool, watching all the ibises chase the toddlers who are stupid enough to wave their sandwiches in the air lol and finished teh day with an ice cream in King George Square. What a great day off <3
