Day 79 Everton Park, Brisbane
Tuesday's my most hectic day starting at 6.20... it's mornings like this when a 4 minute shower actually comes in handy, as I'm ready that much quicker! Grabbing the toast from the toaster as I step out of the screen door to catch my bus. This morning however, there was a less succesful fist attempt at toasting, when the bread just randomly snapped in half in my hands... I did nothing, i swear! Darcy, however, said 'some really weird things have been happening since you arrived'. I didn't really know what to say to that lol!
After a lovely stroll down Queen Street Mall with all the other early birds, I have a lecture of jawed fishes followed by another lecture, in which the guest psychiatrist whizzed through 154 slides in just 90 minutes. I left campus feeling pretty shattered!
So I've got a very relaxed evening planned, sitting out on the deck in the sun (still feeling pretty hot to me... though I won't admit it!) and planning our trip to the blue mountains :) Darcy's showing off his Eiffel Tower model, which is almost as tall as his 6ft frame... he's had to rebuild it after Brad knocked it over apparently. I don't think he's ever going to live that one down lol. Brad and Rosemaree have also invited us down to Broad Beach next week. Penthouse apartment on the gold coast, outdoor heated pool and golden sand on the doorstep! At the moment, we're looking to stay just tuesday night, squeezed in between a bit of vertebrate biology and a ligation practical :P
Can't believe it's week 9 of our first semester already.. exam timetable is up and people back home haven't even started freshers yet! It's crazy! Think i'll be taking my new microbiology textbook down to the beach with me... what a great sunbathing companion :P
