At the end of the school day today, Sister Stella asked us what we were going to do for our special day. At first I was really confused because I didn't have anything extra special planned for tomorrow. Then I realized they were talking about the Fourth of July. We assured Sister Stella we would be back at school tomorrow to teach. The other teachers had asked us about the Fourth of July as well. Anet wanted to know how many years we had been a country. When I told her 236 she said Uganda could never compete with that. Uganda will be celebrating their 50th year of independence this coming October, which I think is pretty spectacular! Sister Edith returned today! She came into the convent complex all hot and sweating from walking from the outpost! It was so good to see her! We have definitely missed Sister Edith. She has such a funny and contagious personality. Plus it has been a little tense between Sister Stella and Sister Pat lately and hopefully Sister Edith will help eliminate some of the tension in the house. We asked Sister Edith all about her leadership trip and how Sister Mary was adjusting to the states. She brought letters for the kids that Megan had left for me and our pencil sharpeners! We are so excited for the school to have so many pencil sharpeners that will always work now!
