On Friday after dinner Sister Edith told us they had books with the song Cross of Our Hope in it. After dinner Sister Edith passed them out and we sat around the dinner table singing the whole song while Sister Angel filmed us.
Yesterday we spent the day lounging around the house and doing a few loads of laundry (by hand).
We ran and played with the neighborhood kids. I swear they multiply each time we go outside.
Today we were invited to the Novitiate House (SAACA) in Fort Portal to attend another goodbye party for Sister Mary. Sister Pat brought bananas for the ride because there are baboons that live on the side of the road. We took turns throwing the bananas out to them. We tried to be fair, but I'm pretty sure one of the baboons was hogging most of the bananas.
The Party at SAACA was so much fun! The Novitiate sits on the largest Crate Lake in Uganda and is absolutely beautiful. We took a walk down to the dock and enjoyed the beautiful scenery outside. They made us dinner and cake and we met some of the Sisters who live in Fort Portal. Brother Leonard was going around welcoming us to Uganda and trying to get everyone to take shots of Gin and Lime juice with him. At the end one of the novices turned on some music and started pointing to random people to come up and dance. Before we left we were invited to come back next weekend with Brother Leonard to hang out again.
We also attended our first Rutuuro mass today. It was very interesting. I love the music here even though I cannot understand any of the words. They play the African drums and it includes lots of clapping.
We said goodbye to Sister Angel today who was just visiting us from Jinja.
