After, we took the s-bahn to the Berlin Wall Memorial, where part of the Berlin Wall still stands, reminding Berliners of their life when the city, and the country, was split in two. Having talked with our South Korean roommate, we understand that even today, families are kept apart, walls and fortifications are built to keep people from moving freely between countries. The display at the Wall Memorial attempts to show bystanders how conditions used to be. Very cool to see.
