We spent our first morning in Spain roaming the city. Our favorite thing so far is La Boqueria, Barcelona's version of Pike Place market. Whole butchered rabbits including their heads were displayed, along with hams complete with trotters intact. This would be a tough place for a vegetarian. Of course, they could take comfort in the gorgeous displays of candies and fruits. We bought food for lunch: ham, cheese, Greek salad, candied fruits, sandwiches, meringue, and empanadas. Fresh coconut and juices were consumed on the spot.
