Julie has been predicting rain for days, and it finally arrived during dinner on Tuesday night right on schedule. We walked to a village one kilometer from our rural farmhouse accommodation. Food is again fantastic and inexpensive though we are in very nice restaurant. We have been speaking a combination of Spanish, French, and English with the casa owner Carmen. She called it "tutti fruiti!" Hilarious!
We're having a delicious dinner involving fried artichokes, tuna salad, and HUGE tomato bread. It's really amazing how affordable and beautiful Spain is.
Had a great hike to medieval city of Pals with well preserved streets and some small roman remnants in the center. There was a church possibly going back to 9th century, but unclear. Inside the church there was a vending machine for votive candles. There appeared to be different grades of candles in the different compartments!
