Yesterday we left Carnarvon/Takarakka and headed south east to Toowoomba. Passing through the towns of Injune (in august), Roma, Miles, Chinchilla and Dalby. All pretty little country towns. The drive was around 550km and took around 6.5 hours as there was alot of roadworks for on both the Carnarvon and Warrego highways. This meant long stretches doing 40km or coming to a complete stop. Lots of road trains on the road - not as long as those up north but in abundance. We arrived in Toowoomba just before 4pm. The afternoon was spent setting up and having a quick look around, there is a reserve behind the caravan park with a pond and walking track - it's quite nice. Today we went to the Cobb & Co Museum, Picnic Point (which looks over the Lockyer Valley and Tabletop Mountain), Toowoomba Heritage Railway and the Japanese Gardens. All nice areas. We got made civillised by some locals - Josh's ned kelly beard is officially gone. Toowoomba is a busy little town - had forgotten how annoying traffic lights can be. Next stop: Walcha
