Today we completed the southern section of the OTL (overland telegraph line).
The tracks were better then expected however a few of the creek crossings were challenging.
Palm Creek although shallow had a very steep, muddy, rocky and slippery entry and a steep and muddy exit. Gunshot (which is well known) had a tricky entry as it was steep and required some manouvering with the car and trailor. Cockatoo creek had a very rocky rutty and steep entry into a creek with large potholes - this creek also had crocodile signs however the water was clear.
I chose to remain out of the car (even at the creek with crocs) for these three crossings as it didnt appear that it would be an enjoyable ride.
All three cars and the two trailors made it through this section of the track with a few minor bumps and scratches.
Josh, Adam and Derek deserved their drinks!
Bring on the rest day!
