Hello everyone from beautiful and sunny new zealand! i know i say this every time but seriously i can't believe that another week has passed. Its really unbelievable that i'm in my 6th week here. But ya its been really good.... last week we had a really good week, it was much better than the week before... the week before just kind of had a weird and depressing feeling but last week everyone was in good spirits and it was really fun and we had a really funny and entertaining speaker... he was a theatre man and for those who know brent adams he was pretty much the kiwi version of brent adams! it was good stuff.... we had a fun week blazing new trails in the new zealand country side, going down the giant water slide here, watching movies on the big projector... it was good stuff... on thursday some of us went to this guys chicken farm... he had around 6000 chickens, it was an incredible site! but we had to attack these huge thistle weeds that were plagueing his paddocks, but his house was on top of this hill so when we took afternoon tea and cookies i didn't ever want to leave his deck, his view was incredible.... On friday some of us went to some locals peoples house and rode horses around, it was awesome... i'm pretty much a pro by now, trotting and contering around the joint...i love horses, i want one... they're very manly and very fun... i want a wild stallion, all black.. it would be awesome... this past weekend was a new moon in new zealand so the stars were INCREDIBLE since there was no moon out to taint their light.... On friday we went and laid out under the stars and saw 7 shooting stars and one satellite... its weird looking at the stars and not seeing the big dipper but the southern cross... southern hemisphere really throws you off... but it was good, on saturday and sunday we went to some lakes north of where we are and camped.... the lakes were the bluest things i have ever seen... it was incredible... they were close to the ocean so we went to the ocean too, and had this hugeeee beach to our selves... it was on the west side of new zealand so the current is extremely strong so the waves are big and powerful so it was really fun to swim and body surf! no injuries so it was all good!... this week we're starting off a new week and it seems that our speaker this week should be good as well... the all blacks lost to france on sunday here so they're out of hte rugby world cup, there is much mourning in new zealand.... and the cubs lost so there is much mourning in my heart as well... go red sox! good the hear the royals keep on winning that is always good!... well i hope all is well... enjoy the pictures! my hair is getting really long, im starting to have some nice wings! its sweet i kinda like it... i'm outta here
