Hello Hello.... Another week has come and gone, i don't know what it is but each week is absolutely flying by, its weird to think about... but i still have 3 months left! ha wow... well anyways last week was awesome, we had an incredible speaker, Jono, who really had a big impact on a lot of us... especially us guys, he really connected with us, which was awesome... Last week we did alot of hanging out around the base makin huts, fires, and watching movies... it was a very relaxing week! On friday though all of the girls surprised us guys with an awesome breakfast, bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, hashbrowns... it was amazing! After that we split up into two different teams that went to two different locations around the north island to do weekend ministry... my group went to a small farming town called Ruawai.. on friday we helped out a lady who was going through a divorce and her husband just up and left, leaving a HUGE mess of trash and wood and who knows what all over the yard and house... Matt and I chopped wood for about 3 or 4 hours straight on friday, needless to say i had blisters and a very sore back the next day! If you look at my pictures the 78 datsun is filled to the brim with trash from her house, and there was probably about 4 or more loads after that... it was sad, but it looked WAYYYY better after we had cleaned up... that night we went to a youth event and just hung out with some kids.... then we got paired up and sent to a host family to stay with for the weekend... Matt and I went to this young couples house, who lived and worked on a dairy farm for another guy... The couple we stayed with were Reuben and Annissa ( annissa by the way for those with Bethany Academy ties, looked exactly like Ms. Clark) they were awesome and kept feeding us amazing food all weekend.. Reuben took us out four-wheeling and possum hunting, and we got to ride dirt bikes... it was very fun.... the next morning we got up at like 5:30 or 6ish to get up and milk the cows.. there was about 340 dairy cows but by the time we had gotten there we only milked about a 100 or so because the farmer had been working since about 4 in the morning... thats morning we fed calfs, milked cows, watched cows be impregnated, and drank milk pretty much straight from the cow, it was incredibly delicious... that day we hung out at the beach then hung out with some people from the town that night... the next morning we got up early to watch the rugby world cup final between south africa and england... i wanted england to win but the didn't... south africa was reallllly good, it was still fun to watch... then next rugby world cup is here in new zealand in 2011, i'm gonna come back to watch, anyone wanna come with?? On sunday we helped out at church and then went and hung out at a beach with thousands of oysters, which we at fresh off the beach, it was incredible... i felt very kiwi... anyways i'm off, i hope you all enjoy the pictures and stuff... Sox vs. Rox for the world series... i think my mom may be taping it for me, so i would appreciate no WS updates the next 2 weeks, its gonna be tough not to look, but i wanna try to be surprised! we'll see if it happens... and of course go BO SOX!!! this weekend we have a really fun weekend planned but you guys will just have to read about it next week... hope you all have an awesome week korey
