Hey hey everyone... wow another week gone, pretty unbelievable... sorry that i'm a little tardy with this blog post, but we got back late last night from an awesome weekend, and today was craziness, especially since i've been trying to figure out my schedule of what classes i need to and want to take next semester! But anyways, sorry if i you've sent me emails and i haven't responded yet, i'm not neglecting you, but contrary to popular belief i'm decently busy here! i'll try my best though to get back to everyone! its great to hear from everyone though i really enjoy and appreciate it! I knew for a fact my grandma was going to make a comment about me saying "me and Isaac" i thought about it while i was typing it. Grandma just so you know i am thinking about you guys! ha well last week was a great week. Our speaker was from Louisiana, and she and her husband spoke to us about relationships. She spoke mostly becuase her husband had to work most days (they live in NZ now as missionaries) but she was incredible. She had the three cutest little kids too, they just loved us all! they were the best behaved kids i had ever seen! gotta love southern discipline! one of my definate highlights of the week was an afternoon spent on horseback on the dusty trail, i LOVE riding horses... its incredible, its like i forget about everything else and just feel completely free... its incredible.... they had like a track that they let us ride on too if we wanted to just let the horses open up, it was unbelievable to fly around the track, man it was awesome! but ya it was a good week of growing up and revaltion for me! the whole week i was highly anticipating the weekend too, because we were going white water rafting in Rotorua which is about 5 hours away from us. on the way down to Roturoa on friday we stopped in Matamata, where hobbiton from the lord of the rings is. we didn't actually go to hobbiton since it was to late when we went through and it cost money, but we definately took pictures to prove that we were there! Matamata also provided us with some delicious fish and chips (NZ's main food supply i might add, i don't complain!) The next day we got up early to embark on our rafting adventure. It was some incredible rafting, the most intense rafting i had ever done, with many class 5 rapids (for those of you who don't know thats the highest grade that is commercially rafted, or maybe rafted at all) these class five rapids included a 21 foot waterfall drop, no joke 7 meters! it was insane, one of the coolest things ever! we all had a blast of course! After that we went up to the top of this mountain on a gondola and did the luge they had there (which is basically like the alpine slide at lutsen but a little different) nontheless, it was awesome and we or course raced down the hill, showing off our stuff to all the locals! that afternoon we also went to New Zealands version of redwood forest which was acutally really cool and my first encounter with the massive trees! after that we had a grill out of steaks and potatoes, which was INCREDIBLE, no wildfire, but still really good! little taste of the good 'ol USA...the only negative thing about rotorua was that the whole place smelled of rotten eggs, because it is a very sulfur and thermal environment, but oh well i coped! the next day we went to Taraunga, which was an awesome beach town, where surf competitions and beach volley competions and all sorts of other stuff, the lame this was, its not prime surf season and the wind was kind of flattening out the surf, and it was cold the day we were there! but ya, we climbed up this mountain that overlooked the ocean and city, so it was really cool! and we just hung out on the beach, which was still fun! Alright so this blog i know may not satisfy all your needs, because its kind of short but i'm sorry! i got lots of things to do! busy busy busy... BU hockey and football won which is both good news, lets hope we can kill the johnnies next week! alright well hope all is well in MN Korey
