Happiness Is The Road
We awoke to the sun and a gorgeous blue sky. After brekky we drove to Canal Rocks which was just a short distance away. I came here last October and it is one of the most incredible places I have been to in Australia. I spent ages here sat on the rocks, watching the waves and rocking away with my headphones on. I was really looking forward to bringing Jay here and doing the same thing again. We crested a hill and saw the ocean and the rocks before us. The swell was still up and the sight before us was incredible. We had loads of fun scrambling over the rocks and we got some great views of the natural canal formed between the jagged and jutting rocks. After a while we sat down and watched the amazing natural show in front of us. The waves were crashing up against the rocks sending plumes of spray into the air and causing the water to foam. It was awesome. We sat here for ages, put our headphones on and rocked away to the same playlist I had listened to when I was last sat here. Eventually we managed to drag ourselves away and scrambled our way back to the camper. We had some lunch and then headed back to the caravan park. We then went for a walk to explore Yallingup. We went to the beach first. The bay looked absolutely gorgeous today under a blue sky with it's white sand and the huge waves cresting and slamming ashore. From here we had a walk on the coast path along the headland. When we got back to the caravan park we had to move ourselves to a different spot as some noisy *******s had turned up blasting their music. Inconsiderate people again! We found a lovely spot away from everyone else and out of earshot of the *******s. It was a case then of chilling out for the rest of the day. We went to sleep to the sound of the huge breakers roaring onto the beach. They sounded like jet engines.
