The weather was horrible today so I had a good sleep-in before getting up and continuing with my sales. Fernando was sick again today so we hung-out a bit and had lunch before I walked into the city. It was so nice to be out of the house and finally my body had recovered from my Torres hike. I went to a few Bus companies and got prices on bus tickets to Ushuaia but they were all very expensive so I went to the tourist office to see if I had any other options. There is a way but it is not recommended and basically it involves taking a ferry to a Chilean port called Porvenir and from there hitchiking to Rio Grande and on to Ushuaia. The ferry is only about $12 compared to the $65 bus fare. I then went for a walk around the town centre, changed some money and had a look down at the port. The rain started again so I decided to catch a bus back to Fernando's rather then do the hour walk. In the evening Fernando was going to cook for us as they were expecting another Couchsurfer. He cooked delicious stuffed zucchinis with chicken, onion, mushrooms, carrot and rice. The Couchsurfer never turned up and I think the guys were a little annoyed. At about 12:30am I had an email and an old guy come around and brought my sleeping bag and walking poles - great, now I just have my cook set and boots to sell and I am good to go.
