Stanley consist of the Nut which is a big hill at the back of the town which you can walk up or take a chair lift but we didn't bother so we looked at the cemetery and went for a walk round the 3 shops and down to the quayside where the seal cruise was about to set sail. The price of $49 for a 75 minute cruise and no morning tea took our breath away but as there was nothing else to do we coughed up and it turned out to be one of the best wildlife experiences we have had.We got very close to the seals and there must have been 150 or so on the small rock.We drove back to Devonport deviating to Gib Falls and of course it poured down but I suppose all the rain has made the falls more spectacular. The crossing was horrendous I was seasick and it put me off a cruise for life.We drove to our friends in Ballarat and followed them up to Mildura. We are having a lovely time with Cathy and Pete and they are spoiling us rotten. The weather is dry and the big red ball in the sky is making it what the locals call warm.We leave here Tuesday morning, next stop Broken Hill.
