Left kaiteriteri at lunchtime so managed to get another round of crazy golf in before we left! Made our way over to westport, there wasn't much there to be honest but we went down to the local pub with other people from our bus and had a killer pool tournament which we didn't win! Had such a nice day today. The weather was nice first thing so Ollie and I headed to the beach and had a little swim. The sun went in a bit so we headed back for some lunch and then hit the crazy golf course with another guy off our bus, I didn't win, but I beat Ollie. Arrived in kaiteriteri this afternoon, the nabe kaiteriteri literally means "food run fast" and the beach here was apparently featured in the guardians top 10 beaches in the world! Nice to be at the seaside and have some sun! Went down to the beach with the other people from the bus and sat with the girls while the boys played American football. I cooked us a pumpkin and broccoli Thai green curry and it was lovely! Really pleased we have a two nights here so...

Had to get up and leave the hostel at 7am this morning to make our way to the ferry. It was a three hour ferry journey over to the south island, through the cook strait and Marlborough sounds. Really nice views (see pic) and weather brightening up! Onto kaiteriteri via nelson! Over and out Han x
