Visited a Mauri Village this evening....it was awesome, was basically a living museum where we got to walk round and listen to talks on different aspects of Mauri life, it was so interesting.

When we arrived we were shown a Traditional warrior challenge where tribes would decide if a visitor was friend or foe, we also got to see how the food is traditionally cooked under the ground using hot stones.

The concert [art was awesome, really amazing singing and dancing and then through to the dining hall to have some dinner, it was absolutley delicous!

Such a good evening, definatley my favourite bit of New Zealand so far.

Heading to Taupo tomorrow.
