Dear followers ( all 5 of you!)
Today is the last day at Karibu Fair and its been amazing!
We started off tuesday, David and I and some other guys from the Rivertrees team started by loading the truck at 7 am and then drove to the fairgrounds located close to the Arusha Airport. As mentioned before, we started off by cutting the grass.....and the stand turned out amazing. I uploaded some pictures for you to look at.
When I arrived at the first day of the fair, I received my name tag that was suppose to be a mix between Hanna Schönbeck and Jadranka Civtkovic so Hanna Civtkovic so that we could both use it.....it definitely turned out as a mix. ...Harna Scosvic. yeah....so I wore my name tag the wrong way around to keep people from calling me Harna.
In the fair they had all kind of safari options you can take, from luxurious to "normal". ( see pictures in the album) They also had a wine tasting tent which was my favorite..Kimberly and I went there to try "some" wine. South African wines are actually not too bad. There were a few ones that I can imagine myself buying and we found some new nice onces for the restaurant. ( French people stop reading here and continue later down, for the sake of your heart) In Tanzania the supplier cant guarantee you a vintage so you might have tried year 2007 but receive 2010 because thats what they have in stock. Interesting concept.
Ok frenchies, you can continue reading now. (hehe)
Other than that, I have been to the garden at Rivertrees and its amazing. They have banana trees, grapefruit trees, avocado etc etc. I went to pick a bunch of banans for decoration for the Karibu Fair and I brought a guy that works as maintenance with me to help me. So I walked around, checking which banana I should take and I finally decided on one, pointed at it and said this one. Everything is fine, he cuts it down and puts it in the wheel barer...and cuts the whole tree down. I thought I was going to have a heart attack! NOOO STOP I screamed and he looked at me smiled, started laughing and said, sawa( means ok), only one baby then dead. There I was standing like a blond idiot obviously not knowing that bananas only have one bunch ( I dont know if bunch is the right word) and then you cut it down and another one will grow in 4 months. Hahha oh lord.
I cant wait for more incidents like this!
OK, I have to get back to work now. Please "like" the Rivertrees website on facebook because I am the one doing all the posts!
Kwaheri!

Lars Schönbeck Roligt att läsa Hanna. Du får översätt swahiliuttrycken så man lär sig själv också.
