Off on a bus at 9am back to Milan then a train from Milan to Venice...we ended up arriving in Venice at 2:30pm. Matty went for the quick 2hr tour around Venice with our group leader so that we get our bearings before we headed off the next day around an overcast and rainy Venice. We had perfect weather up to this point so we weren't too disappointed, plus their 'rain' is what we would call spitting/sprinkling. So many shops! Chocolate/lolly stores, bakeries, Venitian masks and jewellery as far as the eye could see. Of course I bought chocolate, lollies and jewellery, couldn't resist. Later that afternoon we had a guided tour around the less crowded areas of Venice, down the small streets which took about an hour and ended with a gondola ride of about 30mins; all in the drizzly rain so it wasn't ideal haha but we had fun. Back to the hotel and walked to our final tour group dinner. When they say Venice is extremely expensive, they're not joking, it is pricey. The most expensive meal we've had yet - 70 Euros. We said goodbye to our tour group and headed off the bed.
The next day we had to ourselves again and yes it was still raining. We explored a few more stores, had lunch then took a bus to the airport. Ciao Italy and hello Prague!
