Our first full day in Paris was fan-freaking-tastic! We love this city and already want to make sure that we come back again. Back on the metro again in the morning during rush hour which included squeezing onto the train and forget any personal space as that doesn't exist in crowded places. We got our hop on hop off bus tickets, dinner cruise tickets and Disneyland tickets and were straight onto the hop on hop off bus for a 2 hour tour of the main sites in Paris - too many to list here but you get my drift. It was then about 1pm and we decided to go back to the Notre Dame for a closer inspection. Afterwards, we walked along the riverside for an hour then caught another bus back to the hotel. We had only an hour or so before we were back on a bus towards the river cruise boat company along the river. It went from 6pm to 8pm and a three course meal which was actually impressive! We had a great meal, a great time, amazing views of Paris along the riverbank whilst the sun set and we even purchased two professional photos that we had taken onboard. After our dinner cruise, we headed back to the hotel and off to bed.
Day 2: We woke very late, had breakfast and headed off walking towards the Effiel Tower which is about 20mins away from our hotel and stood in the queue ready to take the elevator to the top! It wasn't a long wait (40mins) and then we were up, up and away. The views are incredible as you will see in the photos, it was a tick off both our bucket lists, amazing experience. It was just after noon when we decided to continue walking along the main shopping street with all the designers stores (so lovely!), then continued walking along the riverbank until we got to a really nice park with fountains etc. then walking and walking past all the famous monuments and buildings until we arrived at the Louve for a quick sticky beak and photo. Then we continued our walk back to the hotel.....in total we walked from 9:30am until 4pm. Our feet hurt and our legs tired, we went to the local supermarket (size of a small IGA) had some food and chilled out for the night. We had an early bedtime as it was an early rise the next day for the travel to DISNEYLAND!!!!
Day 3: Disneyland was fun. We both got to fulfill a childhood dream. Of course the theme park is aimed at kids, not adults, so not too many rides that interested Matty but he enjoyed himself on the ones he went on. We purchased a fair bit of merchandise as we're assuming that will be the only time we visit a Disneyland. So on our way back, we purchased a medium sized suitcase for all our souveniers that we have acquired over the past 5 weeks. We had a great day and returned back in the evening.
Day 4: Today was pretty much a day of going to the Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge and pictures of the Effiel Tower at night after we had dinner and Matty ate snails and liked it...ewww!
Day 5: Today we left Paris about 10am and went onto the Eurostar headed for London where we arrived at 2pm and were met by my Aunty Barbara and Uncle Alan and then continued onto West Worthing arriving at 5pm. We then settled in and had an amazingly yummy roast dinner :D
