We're back on the road, after a flying visit to the very chilly Sydney for Jen & John's wedding (what a wonderful night, congratulations again J & J!).
Flew back to Cairns, and then headed up to Port Dougie on Thursday, with firm intentions to visit the reef. Unfortunately the snorkelling gods have had other plans - Lee got a nasty cold while in Sydney which has laid him low, and it is blowing a gale out on the water. Oh well, we'll just have to come back another time says Lea, planning more holidays for when this one's over...
Took a trip up to Mossman Gorge today when the sun finally came out. The water looked very inviting, until you stuck your big toe in and found out it was about 10 degrees. Looks like we'll have to wait a while longer before having our next swim.
We're hitting the road again tomorrow, starting the trek west along the Savannah Way, which will take us all the way to Broome, via Darwin. The first leg is up to Normanton and then Karumba, which is apparently a fishing mecca. Hmm, we'll see...
L & L xx
