We arrived at Inskip Point wednesday arvo and found a nice spot on the inside of the point, look familiar Keiran? The south-easter blew the whole time easing off for a few hours in the arvo which made me get the fly rod out and Lea the spinning rod.
Thursday arvo we strolled over to the open side to see a school of tuna going nuts, busting up, jumping clear of the water at times... awesome to see. Of course they were out of casting range but that didn't stop us as anything could be on the outskirts of the school. And as you can see from the pics, this lucky b***** standing right next to us hooked a smoker of a Mackerel, man what a run it gave him. The only thing we managed to catch (well Lea in fact) was a seagull, stupid thing got it's wings caught in Leas' line... that was fun trying to untangle. But she caught more than Lee...
Friday saw us pack up and head for Bundaberg... no, not for the rum, just to check it out.
Catch ya
