Packed up camp at Inskip Point on Friday morning in a tearing hurry, due to showers... again...
Drove up through miles of pine plantations (even saw wild brumbies, Trey!), and then miles of sugar cane, up through Childers and on to Bundaberg. What a busy town Bundaberg is - we got caught in some pretty serious traffic in the lunch hour rush!
Headed for the coast at Mon Repos, the largest loggerhead turtle rookery in mainland Australia, where you can watch the turtles on the beach just in front of our campsite (we missed the show by about 3 months apparently).
Lee had a bit of fun on the board, probably his last chance until the west coast - no fin chop this time luckily. Seemed to be a popular spot, he was out there with a dozen others.
This is the caravan park of 1000 rules, including "no hilarity between 10pm and 8am"?!
Packed up Saturday morning, and hit the Bundaberg Barrel, home of Bundaberg Ginger Beer, and a myriad of other drinks as we found out - Lea made Lee do the tour, so we could have the free tastings at the end.
Back on the road again, next stop 1770.
Hope you're all well.
