BLED PART 3

Hey there loyal Blog Watchers :-) time to update you all on some more of our exciting adventures from our time in Bled so let's break it down for you a little..
Day one: we got married haha
Day two: we went on an epic hike to vintigar and finished with a swim in the emerald lake
Day three: we got our Adreneline junkie on! Time for some CANYONING!!

Okay so after we had decided it would be wrong not to do something adventurous while we what in what is now known as "the Adventure Capital of Europe" we agreed Canyoning sounded amazing. So, after doing some enquiring around Bled as to which company to go with we were told one name over and over again...

Haha so that's just who we went with!  We signed up with '3glav Adventures' for a 3hour canyoning session with the infamous canyoning Bob. Now just as we did, you may be picturing canyoning bob to be a huge crazed mucsle man swartzanegger type ready to jump from rock faces at any moment...not even close hahaha he was infact a small skinny mini man who moved through those canyons like spiderman, no ropes necessary & no fear haha

So aFter being kitted up with all the necessary gear,  we headed out to the starting point of our canyoning adventure. According to Canyoning Bob there was no point starting slow, we were getting into it with our first 'free jump' as the begining of the trail through the canyons..
a 12 foot jump from the rock ledge down into a black pool of water only about a meter wide and we were told "just bend your knees and just make sure you aim for the middle"......

Now even though our group was mainly made up of boys, it was full of wimps haha so who else to attempt this jump first but none other then the One and only Fearless Adreneline junkie Young Sirca, Chloe! Lol so like a pro Chloe lept from that rock ledge into the pool in full scream and landed well... Kinda in the middle! Lol Then one after the other, after being shown how it's done ;-) the group followed except one... Adam. Haha with a terrified look on his face and his legs shaking he lingered on the rock legde peering down into the pool, terrified. Haha but he was finally forced to jump by calls from Chloe, so he did! And we he came to the surface of the pool it was written all over his face.. He was doing it again!!! Hhaha

Now for those that don't know what Canyoning is exactly, it is essentially following the flow of a river through a canyon using rock repelling, natural rock slides, free jumping (no ropes) and flying foxes :-) basically ALOT of fun! So from our jump we all repelled down a rock face to an area where the river had created a natural rock slide that we went down, crashing into the pool bellow aNd then moved onto the flying fox. This time Adam was the first to volunteer and attempt this part, flying from one end to the other flawlessly without even as much as a squeel haha this really was fun and from there we moved on to some more repelling and slides, one of which we had to be attached to a rope so as we wouldn't go too fast down the slide as at the end was a BIG sudden drop!!  Canyoning bob though, no fear, no hesitation, no ropes lol crazy little man! So as we continued through the canyon we came across more fun slides and rock faces and unfortunatley to had to end:-(
After returning back to bled and getting cleaned up it was time for dinner:-) yum! So following the advice of the lifegurad from the bled lake we heading to a bit of a 'backyard reataurant' which we were told we could get some great authentic Slovenian food which sounded perfect for our last night in Slovenia :-) The Restaurant was set up outside lit by fairy lights and was just beautiful and the food... DELICIOUS!
Potato Croquettes, tasty cured pork meat with sourcrout, and an awesome meat platter.
Yum yum yum so after stuffing our faces we wondered back to our room  not before stopping for some icecream, to relax, watch some soccer and pack out bags for the 6:20am bus that we had to catch back to ljubijana before jumping on a train that would take us down to Croatia for our Saling trip!!
