HOLA from barcelona!!!
so firstly sorry everyone for the epic blog posts we have been making, i know they must consume hours of your day reading them haha, but we really appreciate that everyone is reading them.
ok, so since the last post we have spent 3 days in barcelona, it has been amazing!!!
we arrived here on thursday morning and got settled at the hostel then waited around for our american homie, Willy, to rock up (for those of you playing at home you might remember his name from our Rome post, we met him there at the hostel and partied with him there). After taking his sweet ass time to get here we all went out for some lunch and walked around barca to get our bearings, omg you wont believe we saw this crazy street performer who was juggling a soccer ball, it was insane! he literallly did not drop the thing for minutes, and he was lying down, then standing up, bouncing it on his head and his shoulders, his feet, elbows, soooo cool! Adam could have probably shown him his awesome soccer talents, but it was so crowded he didnt want to take the spotlight from the street performer haha!
later that afternoon one of Willy's friends from back in the states, Jenna, met us at the hostel (she has been studying abroad in spain and came to meet Willy to catch up). There were now four in our wolf pack (anyone who has seen the hangover will appreciate that little gag).
Willy has been the chief organiser for all night time festivies, basically the bearer of good times. He got in contact with a promoter for this nightclub called Opium, and got us a dinner reservation (which included several VERY strong alcoholic beverages, disgustingly strong!) and alsotook care of us at this club. We got our very own table in the VIP section of the club, and as soon as we sat down they brought us a free bottle of champagne, awesome! Needless to say the four of us had a great night!!
The next morning we slowly emerged from the bunkbeds and decided to hit up the beach (hahaha yeah thats right everyone, while your freezing in Melbourne we were kickin it at the beach, getting our tan on!!! ohhh yeah!!!). On our way to the beach we bumped into two of Jenna's mates, Matt and Pat, who tagged along wit us all day.....there were now six in our wolf pack hahaha!!
We chilled there for a bit and had to evacuate beacuse a naked dude was definitely killin the mood, ohhh and also the constant flood of people offering us massages and beer was getting pretty pretty prettty pretty annoying!! We stumbled into this little place which served the BEST paella ever, Adam had a seafood one and Chloe decided to skip the seafood haha. Adam is still constantly raving about how much he wants to go another bowl. The afternoon, what was left of it, was spent relaxing at the hostel and getting ready of the evenings festivities.
The wolf pack descended on a tapas bar for dinner, totally destroys the tapas we get back home in Melbourne just quietly!! After that we cruised on down to this little place called chupitos, its this little place that serves over a 1000 differnt kind of shots! The kangaroo and the boy scout were by far the best of the shots that we sampled!!
We didnt hang around there for long before we made it down to this place called lovela negra, it kind of looked like a German beer hall but they are renowned for serving the best sangria in all of barcelona. The place was packed with spainards, so clearly it must be good! And yes the sangira was fantastic, except it made us all very very sleepy. Chloe decided to have an early night, but Adam, Willy and Jenna all ventured out and ended up at this music fesitval called La Primavera Sound. We managed to get a ticket to one stage which was like in a massive abandoned wharf and spent the rest of the night boogieing to Major Lazer, Diplo and an array of spanish deejays. Ohh and yes Adam was rippin out "the Adam dance" haha!
This morning we woke up much earlier and because we hadn't done any proper sightseeing in Barcelona yet we decided to spend the day doing all the touristy things. We saw the Sagrada Famiglia (which is literally the BIGGEST church ever!!!), and walked around alll afternoon in the very very hot sun ending up at the Olympic Village taking in the view of Barcelona. Great Day!!!
And that basically brings us to now, it is 10pm Saturday night and we are just about to dine on the pasta that Chloe and Jenna are busy preparing before we head out to enjoy Barcelona for one last night, for tomorrow we are off to the "lovers city"....Paris!!!
Just quitely, not looking forward to the 10 hour train ride to get there haha!!
We will try update you guys all again soon on what we have been up to. Hope everyone is well!!
Lots of love from chlo bo and adski!
