Second and final break day started out with a walk with Ashley to the laundromat to do a load of laundry. While we waited Ashley got a strawberry tart from the bakery next door, and we had a nice chat with Jan, the owner of the laundromat. We talked about her family and what they do and about her garden. Jan runs the laundromat with her sister, and her daughter also runs a laundromat on the other end of town. When our laundry was finished we parted ways with Jan and started back to Hospitalfield. We got back just in time to change to go to Dundee at 10. Grace, Alison, Ashley and I were excited because we wanted to go to a vintage store that was not open earlier in the week when we were there, but when we got there is was still closed. Just in case the owner was late, we stepped into the shop next door which happened to be a cafe called T Ann Cake. The atmosphere is relaxing and has a vintage flare. Since we went in, it is only polite to order something:) I ordered a slice of Greek Karydopita Walnut cake and water, Ashley got tea and shared a slice of Chocolate Guinness cake with Grace, and Alison got a coke. The cakes were so good, but sadly brought no luck in bringing the owner in to work at the vintage shop today. So instead we walked back to the DCA (Dundee Contemporary Art) to go back to the print studio and get paper for Ashley's collage. By the time we completed that task it was time to head back for lunch. Today's lunch was stew but without meat and quiche both of which were very tasty. From lunch to dinner I worked on designing my words for each city, designing pages for the book, and I also ate the better part of a Kit Kat in that period. For dinner we had the best macaroni and cheese I have ever had, garlic bread, and fruit with yogurt for dessert. None of us ever wants to leave Hospitalfield if doing so means missing a meal. It is pretty serious when the food is so good that the day's events are planned around lunch and dinner. Unfortunately we will be having packed lunches for the next few days because we will be taking day trips, which will probably be the only unfortunate aspect about them:) I am hoping the weather stays nice for our sport, because the last 2 days it has been partly sunny but raining on and off all day -which has been nice for staying in and working, but will not be as nice when we are outside all day and trying to take photographs for projects. After dinner I checked my messages and worked a little more on the book before taking a shower and reading a bit before I fall asleep.
