Okay...so Off Exploring has not likes me these past few days and has not saved my blogs! Luckily, I baseically remember when has been going on and I think I've figured out what has been happening. Sooo, here goes...
Saturday Sept. 12, 2009-
Saturday was a nice, quiet day. Jill and I both slept in since we were tired from all the rugby game crazyness. After we got up and ate breakfast/lunch we decided to walk to Aldi's to do our grocery shopping. We did good, got a lot of stuff on sale and it should last us for about 2 1/2 weeks if not longer. Once we finished shopping we decided to call a cab home since it would have been way too much to walk all the way home (it was a 30-35min walk) with all of our shopping bags. Once we unpacked and got everything put away I made lasgana and garlic bread for dinner. And then we decided to chill out in Jills room and watch The Other Boylen Girl on my laptop since I hadn't seen it (it was very good too!). After that we went to bed. Nice, quiet day...
Sunday Sept. 13, 2009-
Jill's Birthday!!! We decided to take a walk down a different path that is near our apartment today, and ended up near some houses and farms and then somehow managed to make a big loop and ended up near Cappavilla Village which is the village next to us. It was very nice and we got some neat pictures that I will put up soon. After our walk we sat and watched The Wedding Date (on that I have already seen and love) and then I made burritos for Jills Birthday Dinner. After dinner we had some cake and ice cream, and then met up with two of our friends Dan and Michelle. We were going to meet up with the girls, but they had gotten sick the week before so we hadn't seen them since the day we went shopping. Dan and Michelle ending up having some cake and ice cream too and then we headed out to Trinity Rooms a club in the city. It was fun, although definently not my "thing" :) But we all had a good time, and it will be something to look back on and laugh about.
Monday Sept. 14, 2009-
Tooday we just took it easy since we were both tired from having been out really late the night before. I really don't know how people go out and party until the morning and then get up for work and school, they must have something in their DNA! Luckily the only class we had was at 1pm and it was only for an hour so we just went and then came back to the apartment and rested for the rest of the day.
Tuesday Sept. 15, 2009-
Woke up not feeling got AT ALL today, and actually missed my first class because I just couldn't get up. I made it to the second one and then just came back to the apartment, made some dinner. After dinner I went to bed early and that was it. I really did not feel good, lol,
Wednesday Sept. 16, 2009-
Still not feeling good at all, runny nose, stuffy nose, pounding headache, my whole body was achy, I had/have this terrible cough that is in my chest and "wet" soundung. All in all I was just plain miserable. I didn't wake up until 11:30am (12.5 hours of sleep) but I didn't sleep good because I woke up a few times drenched in sweat and then other times I was freezing and my teeth were chattering. I had my immigration appointment at 2pm, and so Jill and I took a cab there because there was no way I could handle the walk to the bus stop and then the walk to the station from the city. The appointment went well, they're letting me stay in the country even though my finger prints broke their machine, lol. For some reason the machine did not like my prints and kept saying that they didn't match my slaps and that they weren't mine. They finally got then to go through, but the guy doing them was joking around saying that I was going to have to pay 28 Euro a week for the rest of my life to pay for a new machine, and then he was saying that I was just trying to be difficult and that what I really wanted to do was just hold his hand. Then when I went to go leave he called one of the Garda over and told them that I was that American girl who broke the machine and I needed to be arrested, lol. He was very funny! Once the appointment was over, Jill and I headed back to the apartment and made some dinner and then we walked over to Village Reception so I could get some advice on what do to since I'm so sick. She gave me some Vick's to get me through the night and then told me to go to the Student Medical Centre first thing in the morning and tell them that it was urgent that I see someone. After that I got to talk to Mom and Tommy and Sofia for a bit, and then David and then I went to bed early again.
Thursday Sept. 17, 2009-
Figured while I'm doing this I might as well update you all on today, and then I'll tell you about the rest of the day either tonight or tomorrow. I got up at 9am today and headed over to the Medical Centre with Jill. The receptionist at the desk told me that the doctor was booked for the day and I said that the woman at village reception told me to tell you that it was urgent that I see someone. Then she said, "well you could have swine, and you shouldn't have left your apartment since you may have that, and so you need to go find your own doctor in the city if you even have insurance." I was like really? I wanted to go cough on her, but that would have been mean. She's not even a doctor and I doubt I have the flu or I would have had a fever and I havn't had one (although I may have had one the night I had the sweats and chills). But I still doubt its the flu, bronchitis is going around and with my nasty cough I have a feeling thats what it is. So now I'm waiting for it to be 12noon so I can call home (7am there) and ask my mom what I should do next. I'll try to keep everyone updated!
Until next time...
