Brianna's Trip to Ireland '09
Jill and I made it safe and sound to our dorms (which we live in together!! YAY :) ) We had a unenventful flight; although I am def. not a fan of landing. We got to watch movies, play games, watch our flight path and all sorts of other stuff from a computer on the back of the chair in front of us. I was able to sleep for about two hours or so, but that was it. They gave us drinks (not enough in my opinion, lol) and the dinner was actually very good. I had a tossed salad with ranch, roast beef, mashed potatoes, and green beans and carrots, served with a dinner roll and a brownie. Not bad for airplane food!
When we got to Limerick we had to wait in line to go through check-in/customs for about an hour if not longer and it was torture for us since we were so exhausted. But we did it, exchanged some currancy, got our luggage ok (none of mine was searched) and found our bus to the campus. We made it to campus ok to and got dropped off at Thomond Village, where we checked in and got our room keys. In case anyone wants it my address is:

I'm all unpacked now (and 100% exhausted!!), I think Jill and I may head out to try and find food and cleaning stuff and hangers. We are responsible for keeping our rooms and the common area clean, and we both need hangers since we only had about 3 each (which didn't get us far). There are quite a few dead bugs in our bulding though which REALLY ceeps me out, but I'd rather them dead then alive and crawling on me!
I'm not sure who the other four people are that are living with us. So far we haven't seen anyone, but maybe they're out or coming in the next day or two. So it will be kind of cool to meet them and find out if they are from here or if they are international too.
I'm not sure what we're going to do tonight, we have no where to be, ditto for tomorrow. On the 3rd though we start orientation at 0850am until 1750pm. And Friday will follow a similiar pattern, although not as long.
We'll prob go to bed pretty early since we are both exhuasted, so I'll try to write more tomorrow or the day after. So far though, things have gone off without a hitch.
Oh, and it really does rain ALL the time here, but it sure does beat the snow, lol!
