What a terrible photo. haha.
Well, I haven´t written a blog for nearly a month now. Things have been madmadloco.
Many things have happened. I have been thrown in the pool twice. Both times with all my clothes on. The first time, it was by one of the juveniles, Octavio and some of the kids from secondaria, when they were swimming one tuesday. They had the courtesy to take my trainers off though when they were grabbing hold of all of my limbs. And we managed to push Octavio (the girl) in, and he didn´t have a change of clothes! hahaha.
The other occasion was last Sunday, when Adrian, one of the guys who works with the kids during the week, but was working as a consejero last weekend, and Gerardo, a juvnile consejero, pushed lizzie into the pool first, and then dragged me (unsucessfully) then picked my up and carried me, and tipped me into the pool in my Uniform and with my trainers on! Not funny. Well, a bit.
We have been to the cinema many times in the last couple of weeks. It has started to rain here, and when it rains, it rains. It´s like a mini river pouring down the walk to our cabaña, but the real river has a bit of water in it now. A waterfall has also appeared in the hills.´It´s massive, hopefully I will go and see it this weekend if it rains heavily again.
Last night we had a gala dinner with the kids, and a disco. Enforced partner dancing all round. haha. All the juvenile lads stopped talking and stared at me and Lizzie when we walked into the comedor in our dresses (bizarrely on our way to the kitchen to peel some eggs) it was Very funny. Crazy for the inglesas.
Teaching the older kids to play the guitar at the moment, so that they can peform for the end of term show. They have mastered auld lang syne. Now all I have to do is get them to play TOGETHER. They don´t understand this concept. But they are all hilarous, so we have a laugh, and it doesn´t matter that they are rubbish.
We also had our last class in one of the schools this morning. We played games with them, and they gave us cards and a couple of presents, and they made food for us. It was really sweet. We gave them all hugs and wished the 6 grado ones good look in secondary school, and they all said goodbye in english to us. We HAVE imparted knowledge onto young minds. Woo.
And a baby donkey was born on tuesday morning! We named it Donkey, like the one in shrek, but you have to say it with a mexican accent. Burrito! ahhh.
Apart from this, I have fallen down a hole (and survived) had my ipod nicked (argh!) and have managed to improve considerably at basketball.
Thats all I can think of for now.
Pronto!
