Antoinette Hildebrandt's Travels
Today we went to see the changing of the guards. It draws a big crowd. We got there an hour early to get a good spot and knew when the soldiers were coming, not just by the sound of the band but by the simultaneous raising of cameras, phones and selfie sticks. This also meant that my view was suddenly obscured by said cameras, phones and selfie sticks! After the soldiers marched off we headed over to the London Eye. It had finally reopened after being closed for maintenance but there were so many peopled lined to go on it we decided we really didn't care if we didn't ride it. We decided to go back to the British Museum for a 3rd time. We still have only seen a small section of it! Today there was a football match on at the Emirates Stadium (Arsenal vs Chelsea) so we needed to time our return to the apartment to avoid the fans arriving for the game. We could here the cheers of the crowd as we walked up the street. Time to pack our bags for our trip to Paris tomorrow.
