Antoinette Hildebrandt's Travels
Today John & I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. It has been lovely to spend it with the kids in London. Our first stop was St Paul's Cathedral. We would have like to gone inside and climbed up to the dome but it wasn't on our London Pass and I didn't think £18 per adult entry fee was worth it! Across the Millennium Bridge to Shakespear's Globe Theatre. It was really interesting and the tour was very informative. They don't run plays in the winter as it is an open air theatre - a replica of the original, complete with thatched roof. High on John's list was the London Transport Museum. There were lots of interesting things there and lots of school kids! I guess off peak tourist season is the best time for the kids. I can imagine it would be a teachers nightmare otherwise. Finally a revisit to the British Museum. Tomorrow we are off to Cardiff. We are looking forward to the Doctor Who Experience.

Sue Box FYI - probably too late but if you go to St Paul's or Westminster Abbey when a service is on and go to the service you don't have to pay the entrance fee.
