Antoinette Hildebrandt's Travels
Today we headed off the to Cardiff. It is an easy 2 hour train ride from London. We got on the Cardiff Hop on Hop off bus - Cardiff's population is the same as Canberra's so no traffic to slow and us up this time. First stop, The Doctor Who Experience. It was a bit of fun, especially for the younger kids. They also had a museum. All the props and costumes from all of the episodes were on display - it was really interesting.
We got back on the bus and rode it to Cardiff Castle. It is quite beautiful, especially the added manor with its spectacular clock tower. It is decorated inside with many Christian themes. We climbed up the stairs of the keep - it's walls still standing. It had a great view from the top.
There was time to do a bit of shopping before we caught the train home. Lisette was very excited to find a sheep hat. It has been a long day but really enjoyable. Tomorrow we are off to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath - another long day.
