It was clear and sunny today. We decided to start our day at the Tower of London. We caught the train which is 3 min walk from our apartment. (You will be glad to know we are becoming proficient in using the Underground - makes it so easy to get around) We joined a tour led by one of the Beefeaters and then wandered through the rest on our own. There are not many people here; the upside of coming in winter. We walked along the Thames and the across the Tower Bridge. We went inside the bridge to have a look around. There are glass panel inserts in the walkway so you can "float" above the traffic way below which is a little disconcerting. By now it's 3pm and we still have an hour or so before it starts to get dark so we head off to the HMS Belfast. After making our way through the ship we decide it's time to head back to the apartment. Everyone has sore feet/legs from all the walking and the jet lag is starting to catch up with us. We are all in bed by 7:30!
