Antoinette Hildebrandt's Travels
Today we went on our second tour. This time to Warwick Castle, Stratford Upon Avon, a drive through the Cotswolds and finally on to Oxford. I really loved Warwick Castle when I visited over 20 years ago and it's still just as great. We only had 1 1/2 hours there. (That's the downside of doing an organised tour) Stratford Upon Avon was really busy. We visited Shakespear's birthplace - yes the house is still standing! We wandered down to the canal and the lock and had a look through many of the quaint little shops until it was time to go. The drive through the countryside was pleasant. It is really green, there are lots of sheep and plenty of old buildings, including the occasional mansion/castle. Finally we got to Oxford. It was even busier! We did a walking tour around the city centre looking at the various university buildings. Tomorrow is our last full day here - we feel like we have been here forever not just 10 days.
