We woke up to snow today (much to Lisette's excitement), albeit on the rooftop of the apartment building. She was able to make a snowman and have a snowball fight. Later on we travelled by train (the above ground type) to Hampton Court Palace, whose most famous inhabitant was Henry VIII. They have a couple of guided tours/acts by people in period dress. It was very informative. We went through the maze in the garden. I didn't find my way to the centre but was glad when I found the exit! When we got back to Waterloo station we booked train tickets for a day trip to Cardiff on Thursday. We are looking forward to seeing the Doctor Who Experience and Cardiff Castle. The trip back to our apartment took longer than anticipated-the whole Piccadilly line was shut down because........there wasn't enough train operators!
