It was yet again, another late start to the morning. I don't mind sleeping in though, not when we haven't planned to do anything. We got up and went for a run, and almost died. I am a little unfit! But we will change that before I come home! Although after the run we defeated the purpose by having a $10 breakfast of bacon and eggs.
It was so cold today! I layered up a lot, having thermal pants on, tights over the top, a long skirt, long sleeve thermal shirt, shirt over the top, sweater, scarf & jumper. Then I had thick bed socks on under my shoes. I was as rug as a bug! We went outside and almost instantly I wished I put my beanie on. My poor little ears were going to freeze off. We walked back over to the Pharmacy to get Kristy's ear re-pierced as it was uneven then went to the grocery store to get what we needed for dinner tonight, which was going to be pumpkin soup!
It was a bit of a distance to the supermarket, but it was worth it. We got what we needed for a few days and went back. Our hostel doesn't have an oven, so we needed to suss out another place with an oven to cook our food. The hostel across the road was the closest to us, so I went in and found the kitchen. Luckily it had an oven and also a lounge area so we could hang out while we waited for it to roast. It was fun making soup with Kristy & Ajah, made some cool memories! It took a while to make, but we had Cluedo to keep us entertained.
When the soup was ready, we took everything back to where we were staying and cut up our fancy bread we bought and toasted it and set up a mini feast in the dining area. It was so amazing! If only meals could be like that every night!
After dinner, and as it was Ajah's last night, we went back over to the Ice Cream place and got some dessert. We also took our laptops and leeched off their free internet. Most of the stuff we looked at were houses/apartments for us to live in, it will be cheaper then $140/per week for a bed with shared facilities!

Heather Damn, just tried to comment and lost it somewhere, so if this is the second comment from me, then I obviously did something right, accidentally!!! Ok, so I did say.....loving the blog. You MUST keep it going. I'm thinking NZ and kiwis might be normal in some places??? I still suggest you watch out for mad old kiwi women with grey hair and beady black eyes.....they're dangerous!!! Happy to hear that your are still managing to procure hot chocolates...and large hamburgers...and home made pumpkin soup etc. AND that you're keeping fit. You go girl!!!! Got 5 postcards this week, so obviously NZ only collects and mails letters once a month??? Marcus was very happy!!! I've been hanging with Pammy from Dalby for the past 4 days - drinking and playing pokies. Much fun!!!! Was interested to hear about the ear piercing. Just DONT get any more tattoos......!!!! Keep on keeping on - with the blog.
