We were still in Wanaka when we woke today. As we had changed our booking to one night, we had to get up and check out at an ungodly hour - 10am. We also didn't have any milk for breakfast, so we headed over to 'New World' to get some, but ended up at a cafe buying our breakfast. Not too good at this budget thing..
We sat outside eating our breakfast and drinking an amazing hot chocolate, and after that was done we really didn't want to move. I went into the travel agents next door and raided the guides for Thailand, Fiji & India so we could wish and dream about being rich and going anywhere in the world, whenever we wantd! I've just decided I'll marry someone rich, or an airline owner's son. Who likes to cook & clean.
So after about an hour and a half of sitting around, we walked all around Wanaka and went into a few shops and got a few things, I got kiwi earrings! They are super cute :) After we had checked out what felt like every shop in the town... We still had 4 hours until our bus came at 4.30pm! So we just went back to Base to hang out and read. When 4pm FINALLY came, we got our gear and started to make our way to the bus stop. As we were leaving the building, the Kiwi Experience bus pulled up, and who walks off? AJAH! So we have a quick chat with her, but have to cut it short as we'd miss our bus. And that sort of thing isn't uncommon to happen to us..
After we boarded the bus and got on our way, Kristy realised she'd left her good camera at Waitomo. I made a few calls but it didn't look likely that anyone had found it. We thought some scumbag had stolen it. So that ruined our mood a bit.
It was a short trip to Queenstown, only an hour and a half, and it was dark by the time we got there. Lucky I had Kristy to fight off any monsters that jumped out in the night. The walk to Base Queenstown was downhill the whole way, which was fantastic. We went in, and the guy working was bit cheeky, giving us grieve for being Queensland supporters! I'm pretty sure we made his job hell by asking if Ajah could be in the same room as us, there was a lot of mucking around but it happened!
We got to our room, and met our roommates, who were pretty cool, but were moving out that night as they got a house. One Walsh girl, Sophie, stayed to watch the footy with us though. We got ready, and went down to Altitude Bar, which was part of Base, and got a $7 Pepperoni Pizza & Schooner of beer. It was pretty amazing! The pizza was on thin base, and had an amazing amount of cheese! It was one of the best pizzas I'd ever had. The beer was pretty amazing too
Our table got full pretty quick, and we were dying for 10pm to come so we could watch the All Mighty Maroons slaughter the Blues! It was a good game, but it would have been even better if people hadn't insisted of standing in front of the TV! They moved pretty quickly when I said something though. We got a few more drinks, and loved the game, and loved it even more when Queenslanders won! And I don't care what you say; we scored that try fair and square!
It was a pretty good night; I had to call some blues supporters straight away to rub it in their faces even more that they lost! Then we went up to an empty room and fell asleep wondering what the next day is Queenstown would be like.

Marcus Sounds like you had a ball at Queenstown on the first night! And as much as I dislike the footy, GO THE MAROONS! Any word on the camera yet?
Jess lost her GOOD camera? NOOOO!!!!!!!!!
