So this morning we had full intentions of getting up at 7.30am to go for a run. That didn't happen. It was mostly due to the fact that a girl in our room was up all night spewing & kept us up. When we did get up & out of bed, we were going to hand out resumes, but work hadn't sent the documents we need over, so we tried to go to places that aren't pubs/cafes. I also found out casinos over here have a minimum age of 20 to go in! I thought it would be okay to work in one if I was 19, but apparently not. I was super surprised by that, and there are two casinos in Queenstown, so that rules out a few jobs, which I'm pretty disappointed about.
For lunch we went to 'Ferg Burger', which has massive burgers & funky names for their burgers. I got the 'Cock-a-doodle Oink' which was a chicken burger with everything on it. It was the biggest burger I have ever seen! It was almost bigger than my head! I had trouble fitting a full bite into my mouth, a worse time finishing it, and made Ajah eat some, and I was still struggling. Kristy ate hers without a problem and still didn't feel full! Where does it all go?
After we had finished that, we went over to 'The Remarkables' Lolly Shop', where they let you try as much fudge as you want! I bought some Crème Brule for myself and a little treat for my family back home in Aussie. I handed my resume in there as well, but don't have too much hope for a position.
Ajah wanted to try on and buy some makeup, so we headed over to the Pharmacy. We were there for ages, and saw that they did ear piercings. I have never ever thought I would ever get another piercing, as I don't like them too much, but have always thought the one in the top of the ear looked cool, and the more Kristy and Ajah talked about it, the more I wanted it. I decided to get one, for some 'god only knows' reason, and had to go first or I'd chicken out. I was getting more & more nervous by the minute, and towards the end I was almost in tears I was that scared! When it was crunch time (full pun intended) I was squeezing Kristy's poor little hand so hard it should have fallen off. When it happened, I was surprised it didn't hurt AT ALL! All that prissy whinging and whining for nothing! Kristy got 3 done, and didn't even flinch. Ajah for 4 done and was the same! She already has heaps done though.
When the excitement calmed down a little, and I wasn't in need of a tequlia shot, we went to the Ice Cream place to 'reward' ourselves. I got a Banana Split, which was possibly the most amazing thing I've ever had, and walked back to the hostel. For the rest of that afternoon we just hung out and had a lazy night in watching movies!
