Today, I unfortunately had to nurse a hangover. Last night got a little crazier than I expected, and some parts of the night I don't remember but I do remember that it was one of the best nights of my life! Today was our first day in Taupo. Taupo is quite a big city, and has a massive lake in the middle of the city, which is almost outside of our hostel. It was raining when we woke up, actually that's a lie, the rain woke us up. It was raining that heavy I thought the roof was going to cave in! So we got up, and dressed. We went for a look around the hostel, and decided it was time to bite the bullet and go outside for a walk to get some groceries. And of course ...

We had to get up at 9am to pack our stuff to check out. As soon as I woke up I could feel my whole body aching. The bruises were worse and my muscles were so sore! But I still had to get up and get ready. We had to check out at 10am and our bus wasn't due until 5.30pm, so we had a lot of time to do nothing!
