So this is going to start a little from the night before. Before I start, I'll fill you in on a little joke that's been going on between Kristy and I, and our Irish roommate, Andrew. Basically, when Kristy & I get settled in on our top bunks, we HATE having to get off. I think if there were a fire, we'd just hope for the best and continue listening to music & reading. Anyway, for the last few nights we have been dozing off to sleep with the light on and waiting for Andrew to come home to turn it off. So last night, I had just gotten back into bed after turning the light off, when we hear the key in the door. We start laughing and abusing Andrew (in a friendly way..) about him not being here when we need him. Anyway, the light goes on and there stands our new roommate.. Bryden. Well, weren't we ashamed... We quickly ate our words and apologised profusely. He was good tho, another Aussie guy from good ole Canberra.

Andrew came home soon after, and Bryden actually convinced us all to go out for a drink or two.. It was hard getting out of our warm pj's on that coooold night. But we did, and went to a little Irish pub in an alley. Andrew bought the first round, and Bryden the second. It was good, finally after almost a week in New Zealand, we had out first alcoholic drink!

The next morning we woke at 10.15am, and got ready to go to the beach! All of us were going! We caught the bus to where we were going and browsed the markets. As it was almost 12pm, most were closing up. We headed down to the beach, and it was okay.. Aussie beaches are still better! We walked up the shore line, to the cliffs and back. It was pretty good to hang out with everyone! It was a good day as well; I was walking around with a summer dress on all day! But forgot sunscreen, so hopefully I'm not too damaged!

Tonight is our last night in Auckland, Kristy, Andrew, Bryden & I are going to 'Denny's' which is an Irish pub (why did I not know about this before?!) to have a few last drinks before we leave very early tomorrow morning!
