Ecuador Adventuaaaahhh
So today Kallie, Humberto, Rebecca, Jaimee, Aviva, and I went to Papallaca! Omg it was soooo fun!! So we all met at the Rio Coca bus station and took the bus to Cumbayá just little bit further than where we get off for school. We went into the town of Cumbayá which I´ve never seen before. We decided that one day after school we would walk that way and see what they have. It looked intersting. There was this weird firing breathing dog with six legs on the wall. It was some sort of sign for something maybe keep out but I dunno it was so weeeaiiiddd. So the bus driver told us to get off just a bit after that and we caught the bus to Papallaca. It was a hour and a half bus ride and when we got on the bus there were no seats so we had to stand! There were these little plastic chairs that they put in middle of the isle and the rest of the girls sat but Humberto and I still had to stand. It was not bad though it was actually the type of thing I love and but pretty pumped about being in a crowded bus with a bunch of Ecuadorians. There was this adorable little girl that Aviva was talking to and she pointed to me and said in spanish You have REALLY long hair. hahah so cute. So then we got to the stop and there were trucks that would take us up to the hot springs but we decided to walk the mile. So as we were walking I took a video it is pretty funny. Chipi Chipi finally made his Ecuadorian debut but I am such an idiot and I thought that I was taping over the El Salvadorian news that Jacquie and I taped for Fati´s class last semester but I completely forgot that Jacquie, Rodrigo, and I made a video over our snowed in weekend. So basically that is completly gone except for a small section of me saying I am not a complainer ( hahahahhaha) and Jacquie singing some random song and Rodrigo showing off his muscles for Jacquie. HAHAHHHAHAHA then some of our news broadcast.... Rafa Colon, Lordes Quevedo, and the pupusa lady hahaha! But anywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back to the adventure... So basically in Papallaca there are these Piscinas Termales. We spent a good amount of the day there hopping back and forth between all the pools. We saw a donkey too by the way! haha. Then on the way back it was raining but we still decided to walk down anyway. We stopped in a small restuarant called Choza de Don Wilson cuz we were told we hhad to try the trout. It was yummy. The WHOLE trout. Even the head. I played with it and everyone got really freaked out haha. I got a humita yummy! But this one was homemade rather than store bought like the ones i usually have so there were peices of corn still in it. It was yummy. The hot chocolate was really good too. It came with cheese which you are supposed to let soak in the hot chocolate then eat it. Aviva got this beef thing that came with a fried banana and she said try it with the cheese. Omgggg soooo goood. Soft cheese with fried banana is awesome so try it. When we arrived the guy came over to us ( I think it was Don Wilson ahah I dunno) and gave us a shot of Tequila for the cold haha. None of us drink tequila but it was really nice ahaha and we said only in South America would you be given a free shot just because its cold. So after that we continued our way back down the mountain and arrived at the bus stop. We were freezing of course because we were wet from the pools but also because it was raining and we were on a mountain. We were all huddling around Humberto for warmth ahhaha. Then there were these other three Americans from Idaho who were backpacking (soooo me and jacquie in a few months!!!) and they had extra rain coates so they let us borrow them until we arrived back in Cumbayá. Thank god for that because I was sooo cold!!! So yea then we got back into Quito and Ive just been at home since and I was doing my translation for traduccion but I got bored with that but I guesss I will have to get back to that.
