So today I woke up to the sound of birds. Normally I hate the sound of birds but Ecuador birds sound pretty. So far I like the City it reminds me a lot of Buenos Aires but it´s also very different. After breakfast, Paulina showed me where my school was located. It is a bit far from the house. First, we walked about two blocks to a bus station where we got on the blue bus which took us to another bus stop which took us into Cumbaya which is where my school is located. Then we hopped on the green bus and walked just one more block to my school. It was amazing the difference in temperature from Quito to Cumbaya. Quito is located at a higher elevation than Cumbaya so it is a lot cooler. It was about 60 here when we left and in Cumbaya it had to be in the high 70´s. I love this weather because it is warm but not too sunny so its not burning hot. Everyway I look I can see the mountains surrounding the city it is so beautiful. The buses were intersting too. The first bus we were serrenaded by a man and women singing along to a guitar. It was nice but of course they just wanted money. After seeing the school we went to the mall so I could get a phone. Just like in Argentina the malls are about 4 or 5 floors. Huuuuge. It was fun to shop because she let me handle everything so I was actually able to speak :) I had to go to the Pharmacy too because I forgot somethings. After that we just walked back to the house and had some lunch. I tried something called a Palmita... I did NOT like it haha. Normally I like weird things but this was wayyyy to salty for me. We also had some chicken and rice. yum. Then she made me drink a vitamin c tablet. At least I won´t get scurvy.... nota para jacquie... debemos tomarlos!

Tomorrow is my orientation for school so that should be very intersting. I don´t really want to meet the Americans but whatever.

I will write about that later though.
