Hi,

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but I have been busy writing my Tobago field report and now it is FINALLY handed in! I thought I would never get it finished.

I can't really remember what has happened since I last posted.... When the Wildlife Rescue Unit was here they managed to collar three elephants! 2 females and 1 male and put up 4 orangutan bridges, you may have seen quite a few photos of articles and elephant pictures I've been tagged in on facebook, which is what it's related to. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go out for the collaring as we had just got back from Singapore and the boats were already booked up! But they didn't manage to recapture the satellite tagged crocodile, so hopefully will get to see that next time!

When all of the people left, everything went back to normal at DG. I have been carrying on with my project with Krik and have started surveys to try and find more lorises and maybe a tarsier. I have done three surveys now and have seen the total of one civet! So not very successful. I also haven't seen Krik for a week. He is in a new area with very tall trees and haven't even seen his eye shine. Apparently it could be due to the fact it has been a full moon as this affects their behaviour which is quite interesting, so we shall see! Going out tonight so maybe I'll see him.

Not much other news. We had takeaway pizza and cake the other day. Well it was take away pizza which was reheated here, but it was good all the same! It was to celebrate the fact that Danica and our manager Mark had been here for one year! Also, our boss Ben had his first baby! We have also been practising setting up the tree climbing platform for the past couple of days which has been fun. A lot easier than I thought it would be!

Flights are all booked for Christmas, so next stop, Thailand! We will leave DG on the 21st Dec and get to Thailand on the 22nd where we'll meet a Miss Sophie Miles for two weeks and Beth! So lots to look forward to in December, including my birthday!
