Today we hike Lions Head, which is part of Table Mountain. I am not an experienced hiker by any means but it was definitely the most beautiful and scary hike I have ever done. I have posted pictures but they do not quite capture the beauty of Lions Head. For most of the way up, the whole mountain was covered in clouds. It was hard to see anything further than 15 yards away but the clouds made everything have an eerie beauty to it. As we got closer and closer to the top, it became steeper and steeper. At one point we were literally climbing up the side of the mountain, pulling ourselves up with metal handles. Thank goodness it was so foggy; otherwise I think I would have been terrified! When we got to the top we were literally above the clouds. The sky was blue and when the clouds would break, we could see parts of the city and the sun starting to set over the ocean. Like I said before, the pictures do not capture the true beauty of the moment, but the view is definitely one that I will remember forever.
