Made it to my "hotel" which is a glorified hostel. It is on a pretty busy area which apparently turns into bustling meat market at 6pm after which time i should not put a foot outside the hotel...according to Christian, my transfer driver. Message received. I was way too tired to go anywhere anyhow. Woke up this morning after a pretty restless sleep and went to find some water and an ATM. Bailed up some policemen for directions and proud to say that my Spanish was understood! Came back to the hotel and pounced on some girls I heard speaking English. They are from Melbourne. We wandered the streets of down town Lima for a few hour and had some lunch... Heart attack on a plate!!! There goes the idea that I would lose weight on this trip!! Now off on my urban tour to make Pisco Sours.. The national drink of Peru.
