Woke up and peered out of the tent this morning to find sunshine!!! And an amazing view. Due to the clear skies it was freeeeeezing and we all layered up even though we knew we'd be peeling it all off as we walked. Honestly, we saw so many great Incan sites today. They were all just amazing. The best one by far though was Winaywayna (see cover pic). It was a massive set of terraces with the remains of some religious buildings on top. While we were there Bec and Russ got charged by a huge lama, which was a pretty terrifying thing to watch. Brad and Raoul got into their boardies and took a shower in the actual ancient shower facilities. They were going to go nude until they decided that the temperature of the water would not reflect well on them haha. We only had a half day of walking, which was all easy going, so we had an early night ready for the 3am start for the trek to the Sun Gate - macchu picchu!!
