So we left the Amazon at 6.45 this morning and made it back into peurto maldenardo without any hassles by 8. Our flight left at two so we waited for 3 hour at the jungle lodge office... Watching a DVD on this guy that sounded like bear grylls but wasn't... And making endless cups of tea. We walked up to the corner store and basically bought the place out (they sold beer too!). Finally we drove to the airport and checked in before having lunch. We then waited and waited at our gate for AGES before our plane tuned up 45 minutes late. By that stage I knew something was very wrong with my stomach. As soon as we got to Cuzco (30 min flight) I put some laundry in to the local laundromat and bunkered down for the night. If my roommate, Bianca, ever reads this, I am sorry. So sorry. No one should ever have to be subjected to listening to that every two hours.... Though I do feel better about it since you retuned the favor yesterday....and because by now everyone on the trip has had a tummy bug, or "the runs" (thank you brad for ripping off that veil of politeness). Anyhow, the others all went to dinner and ate ginea pig, alpaca etc. I was :( to miss out! Thanks to all those that called / texted in my hour of need!!!
