7 hrs of travel left including a 3 hr wait here. The QANTAS lady said I would need to collect my bags at chile and transfer them to another counter... But the Chilean staff said they should be all checked through. It is a $95 US fee to go through immigration and check that my bags aren't in fact on an endless conveyor belt circuit...so I'm going to go with the Chileans and presume my bag will find me at Lima. I wish my bag would also be able to scoop me up and take me to where I need to go as I can't even think straight I'm so tired. PS to mum and dad, Santiago looks a lot like orange apart from the Andean range in the background. Fancy that...
